Be Safe with PEE SAFE #saynotodirtytoilets

Hey people

Today I will be talking about something very different from what I usually document on my blog. This is an awareness post concerning the hygiene and safety of women and is highly recommended. It’s in collaboration with PEE SAFE.

Public Toilets! Two words that make us cringe, every time our bladder commands to get empty. Playing in our minds a gross and stinky sight. Poor or no infrastructure, zero cleanliness, jammed pot holes, dirty toilet seats and oh! that bad odour... are some common reasons to avoid using public toilets. Fear of catching infections from dirty toilets, make us hold on to our bladders while we hunt for much “cleaner” restrooms in a mall, multiplex, hotels or until we don’t step in the comfort of our own houses.

The usage of toilets by several people that belong to different backgrounds and hygiene practices makes an individual come in contact of toilet infections. Since women get in direct contact of toilet seats, they are at the brink of getting infected with UTI’s, diarrhea, gastroenteritis and herpes. According to a survey report, 85% of women do not sit over the public toilet seats. Talk about squats, Man! we are doing that from ages.  While hovering over a toilet seat is what we do to protect ourselves from getting infected, hovering truly does not empty out the bladder contents fully and can cause health issues.

One may advocate that the toilets in their workplace, malls, hotels or even in homes are much cleaner and you don’t fear to use them because they maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices. I wish it could have been true.

A toilet when used by more than one individual is a breeding ground for germs and no matter how clean it looks from outside, it can still give you infections. While it solely depends on an individual’s hygiene that makes them less or more susceptible to germs, there are some measures that can be included in our daily routine to ensure us better protection from germs, next time we use a shared toilet.

I recently came across a product called the PEE SAFE Toilet Seat Sanitizer, which is an antibacterial disinfectant spray that promises to kill 99.9% of germs, present on toilet seats. Doesn’t it sound amazing girls, to finally have a thing in your bags which can shield you from those notorious germs causing you any harm, whenever you need to answer the nature calls!

Just spray it on the toilet seats, wait for 5 seconds and boom!! It’s ready for use without leaving a single residue. The best part of this toilet seat sanitizer is, it’s extremely light packaging, available in different sizes that makes it a perfect travel buddy.

About Pee Safe Toilet Seat Sanitizer

With its motto of Swastha Mahila Swatha Bharat, Pee Safe sanitizer is formulated to give every woman a hygienic toilet experience.  It claims to provide 99.9% protection against germs that harbour over the toilet seats, door knobs, handles and on other surfaces. This goodie comes in an aerosol spray can, which makes it handy and quiet convenient to use. Apart from sanitizing, it also deodorizes stinky washroom cabins and leaves a pleasant fragrance behind.

It comes in a grey and green bottle. The company has given a real thought over the packaging of the product and has launched it in four sizes to suit every individual or family needs.

How to use it
Pee Safe Toilet Seat Sanitizer is extremely easy to use:

  Shake the can before use.

Spray the Pee Safe Toilet Seat Sanitizer on a toilet seat.

Wait for 5 -10 seconds, while it evaporates and sanitize the area.

The toilet seat is now ready for use.

You can also use the PEE Safe toilet seat sanitizer to sanitize the dirty door knobs, washroom handles and other surfaces.

What it does
The chemical formula of PEE SAFE is a combination of three strong antibacterial disinfectants which is much stronger than simple alcohol and while it ensures, the killing of 99.9% bacteria, it makes the remaining 0.1% inactive, which is unlikely to cause you any harm.

Along with sanitizing, it also deodorizes the place and the pleasant fragrance lingers on for quiet a long time. It is also safe for children above 5 years of age.

My Recommendation:
With no second thought, I highly recommend this product to each and every girl. Whether you use public toilets frequently or not, this is must for everyone, especially for those who are more susceptible to UTI’s. While we keep stuffing our bags with useless items that we tag them our “essentials” and won’t look over them for ages, replace them with PEE Safe toilet seat sanitizer, right away and trust me you will thank me for it later.

Remember to Be Safe with PEE SAFE.

Until next time

Much Love XO

Polka meets Cold Shoulder

Hey all, it’s been over a week since I started blogging and thought it’s high time to post my first outfit look and share with you all my personal style. It’s a fashion blog, after all!😃  Before moving ahead, I would really like to thank you all for loving my work and appreciating it. For an introvert like me, blogging was not an easy decision. The fear of being judged or criticized and many other trivial things, overpowered my desire to be a blogger. But as they say “Follow your passion and don’t let anyone limit your dreams!”, I decided to take a step forward and wrote my first blog post, a month back. Ever since then things slowly started falling in place. I feel overwhelmed every time when someone drops me a text on my Snapchat, Facebook or Insta praising my work. Let me tell you guys, it gives me such a self confidence boost and motivates me to do better.💖  Although a week old, I am still new in blogging world and learning gradually the different aspects o...

Basic skincare routine in your early 20s

Why a beauty regime in my 20s, when my skin is young and healthy naturally! Research shows that two structural proteins, collagen (responsible for keeping skin firm and tight) and elastin (responsible for skin’s flexibility) starts decreasing as soon as you touch 25 years. A skincare routine set  early and followed religiously, when  your skin is healthy and quite youthful naturally, will help you combat the early signs of ageing and will set a foundation for glowing and nourished skin in your 30s, 40s and 50s. While you need not to get fancy about products addressing specific issues (until its acne) at this stage, some basic affordable products along with few natural household ingredients are everything that you need for an effective routine. Know your skin Before you step on to nail a beauty regime, it is must to know your skin type and the products that will work best on it. Skin products in market cater to needs of three different skin types, dry, oi...

Getting Monsoon Ready

Finally grey clouds have swarmed up the city, signaling the end of hot summers and onset of monsoons. While I was expecting it to arrive in mid of July, it has seemed to arrive a bit early and that makes me rush to stack up all my monsoon essentials. While not a big fan of monsoons, the very few things I love about it is it's earthy scent,😍 cold weather, and the joy of hogging hot fritters while enjoying rain. Monsoon is a really tricky weather when it comes to fashion. We really don’t have much choice. Do we? Clogged streets, Mud puddles, humid weather, bad hair days, dripping rain! With so many downsides, it really gets difficult to be in your fashionable best. I thereby, revamp my fashion and beauty choices according to monsoons and tend to remain high in style, while keeping that chic quotient on. Bright and cheerful  Where lot of us enjoy this seasonal bliss, monsoon for me brings a whole dull and gloomy vibe in the atmosphere. So to cope with it, I include b...
