Favorite cape style inspirations from designer Anamika Khanna's collection

Hey my amazing family of chic world, while I am working on a monsoon related post for you all, I decided to share some of my favorite ethnic cape styles from Anamika Khanna’s latest bridal collection and celebrity style diaries.

Capes are those versatile pieces of clothing that just compliments almost every other element of the wardrobe. This sleeveless hero of the layering world has got a makeover lately and has taken the Indian fashion industry by storm. From cropped capes over a saree, the latest upgrades of it are more experimental including that of sparkles, intricate embroidery designs and floor sweeping lengths.

While capes make everything look so good, the latest designs from the Bridal collection of famous designer Anamika Khanna, has given me some major ethnic fashion goals. This Cape goddess has always been known for blending traditional drapes and age old embroideries with western contemporary styles. She is a personal favorite of celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez to name a few. Remember Sonam Kapoor’s pink cape saree at Cannes that just gave us amazeballs!

So jump on the bandwagon with my most favorite style inspirations from her couture, listed down!

Boho vibes
A mustard yellow wide leg pants and bralette dress with flower embroidery paired with full length red cape. If you feel bralette gets a little OTT, go for a crop length blouse with this one. Also capes with this much flare gets tricky to handle, suggest to customize it in more fitted one.

Royal
I was in love with this look, head over heels, the moment my retina registered it. Vaani Kapoor looks mesmerizing in this classic ensemble from the designer’s Bridal Collection 2017. It’s a printed dress in draped hem style with an embroidered trail cape.

All white
This subtle yet classy ensemble is so appealing in its approach. The lace bordered cape adds an edge to the satin lehenga with sequin boat neck blouse.

Jacket Gown
Not exactly a cape but a floor sweeping jacket gown with golden and flower embroidery from the designer’s couture. This is so romantic and royal in its feel. Perfect to rock in your next family wedding reception.

L'oreal White Perfect Range - Day Cream Review (Part 1)

Image courtesy: Chic & Co. I came across the L’oreal's White Perfect Day Cream on my hunt to find something that can reduce pigmentation and imparts even skin tone with instant glow. Products that claim “Fairer” or “Whiter” skin do not attract me generally, for I stand by the belief that every skin is simply beautiful in its own way but a radiating effect in a cream is what I always desire for. A night cream along with it was a planned buy as I was looking to include serums in my night care regime from long. Since them both came in a combo offer, it was worth a buy! It’s been 4 months I have been using both the creams and feel to have invested enough time to come out with a genuine review. I am only talking about day cream in this post, for night cream deserves attention of its own, which will be showered in the subsequent article. About L'oreal White Perfect Day Cream "Tested on Asian women, who claim to notice one drop in melanin block, the pro...

Their products are a result of extensive research and innovations, with gentle ingredients and are really effective on skin.  The Face Shop   is a South Korean cosmetic brand which was launched in India, last year. They make their products from natural ingredients and oriental medicines and are quite popular among beauty enthusiasts around the globe. It claims to clarify and soothe the skin irritated by environmental stressors along with making it supple and soft, giving it a refreshing feel. It does not contain any added parabens. You...

It’s a fashion blog, after all!😃  Before moving ahead, I would really like to thank you all for loving my work and appreciating it. For an introvert like me, blogging was not an easy decision. The fear of being judged or criticized and many other trivial things, overpowered my desire to be a blogger. But as they say “Follow your passion and don’t let anyone limit your dreams!”, I decided to take a step forward and wrote my first blog post, a month back. Ever since then things slowly started falling in place. I feel overwhelmed every time when someone drops me a text on my Snapchat, Facebook or Insta praising my work. Let me tell you guys, it gives me such a self confidence boost and motivates me to do better.💖  Although a week old, I am still new in blogging world and learning gradually the different aspects o...
