Hi loves!

Its been a super crazy week and an equally excited one. Crazy for the never ending work and excited; for my last outfit post that was featured on a global website, .😀 To visit the article, click here. Celebrating through my little moments of joy I am up again with a new post giving an insight about some of my extremely loved and tested hacks that can instantly change your makeup game and makes you dwell in your vanity with love.

I am big makeup geek. I love experimenting with my makeup products and am always on a hunt to discover techniques that can ease my overall glam routine. Anything and everything about it excites me to core. Gift me my favorite highlighter or a lipstick and you have won my heart!💖 At least for that day!😉 But while the beauty community keeps blessing us with new trends and products that seems to be the next piece de resistance of the makeup world, making their way to our wallets and breaking our bank balances😖 (isn’t it so ladies😟), it gets nearly impractical to get our hands on each one of them.

It takes a real deal to splurge on good quality makeup products specific in their use, unless you are a spendthrift. Dwelling in your makeup bag only to come up with powder makeup crumbling between your fingers and tears running down your face, while you wished to have known ways on how to use them to fit the need of others can be life and money saving both. Worry not girls.. explore here some amazingly easy hacks with your basic vanity items that will save you on pocket will still keep you high on glam quotient.

Eyeshadows as Highlighter
After discovering that wearing glitters on your cheekbones and other lifted areas of your face, that attracts light and gives an illusion of natural and so lit-from-within look has changed my life.😍😍 I can’t restrain myself from wearing highlighters on a daily basis. But before I got hands on some of the much hyped illuminators, the only thing that imparted me with a pop glow were my more subtle glitter or shimmer eyeshadows. I still love to wear them and trust me, people admire you for the healthy shine and no one has ever judged out the faux product used to achieve it. Figure out the best highlighter eyeshadows for your skin by pairing it with silver or golden jewelry. Apply it on your cheekbones, brow bones, nose and above eyelids for that goddess like glow.

Baby Powder for Baking Makeup
While it sounds like baking your fully layered face in an oven.. its nothing like that or near to it.😈 Well! If you are a Youtube addict and love watching makeup video tutorials, you’ve likely noticed a hike about baking makeup. Used in drag communities for years, this trend became a part of mainstream makeup techniques recently. The method involved is similar to highlighting but with a more mattified effect and excludes any use of glitter or shimmer and gives you a bang on Kim Kardashian look. There are numerous baking powders available and if you are yet not clear on how the technique works, try it on with a baby talcum first.

It’s a six step process
  • ·         Hydrate your eye area
  • ·          apply base
  • ·          apply concealer under your eyes
  • ·          Dab the talcum under your eyes, chin and just above your jawline
  • ·         wait for 5 or 10 minutes while it ‘cook’ or ‘bake’ your makeup
  • ·         Dust it off. Boom! Your makeup is baked.

Faux – Lashes with Baby Powder
False eyelashes are godsend if you instantly want to turn in a glamorous avatar. But they are not a practical option outside of more formal affairs and definitely not for everyday wear. Creating lashes with a baby powder gets me the fashionably faux looking eyelashes with honestly real results.
  • ·         Start by curling your eye lashes with a curler. Remember to hold it for 8 seconds at base, middle and ends of lashes to achieve a curve.
  • ·         Apply one or two coats of mascara brushing it from roots to tips.
  • ·         Tap some baby powder in your palms and dip a Q-tip in it.
  • ·         Dab it on the top and bottom of the lashes, making sure that entire fringe is coated with it.
  • ·         Apply another coat of mascara from root to tips to turn lashes black once again.
  • ·         Repeat the steps if needed.

CC & BB creams as Primers
This one is an ultimate lazy – girl makeup hack. If you don't believe in layering up your face with plenitude of base products and seeks for one product that can give you a good coverage in less than 2 minutes, try on this one. BB or CC creams (Color Corrector creams) are the supercharged tinted moisturizer with SPF and anti- ageing ingredients that have become a beauty bag staple for women on the go. With imparting good coverage they are extremely light and is perfect for everyday use. But that's not the only way to use these creams. I have been applying CC creams in place of primers under my foundation for quiet long now. Perfect for both day and night makeup, they do a good job in covering pores and fine lines giving a flawless look. The only trick is to blend them really well as they come only in light shades and can appear too white if not buffed well.

Apply concealer in triangles
Rather than applying concealer under your eyes in dots, work it out in an inverted triangle with its base under your eyes and tip at the bottom of your cheeks. Blend them out really well. It gives a perfect coverage and hides all the redness beneath the eyes and will brighten up your whole face.

Slanted hash for smoky eyes
Always wished for those ultra-seductive smoky eyes but messed it up all? Well, the feelings are mutual. Try this super easy hack that will save you from looking a panda. Draw a hash with black or brown eyeliner at the outer corner of your both eyes. Start blending it with the help of a brush towards inside, mixing it with the entire makeup. Build up the intensity by adding same color eyeshadow. Blend it well again and Voila! You are ready to rock.

So here were some of my most loved makeup hacks. Try on these and let me know by tagging me in your pictures or leaving your comments below.

Up until next time, love yourself and keep spreading happiness my darlings. Remember to stay chic and classy.

Basic skincare routine in your early 20s

Why a beauty regime in my 20s, when my skin is young and healthy naturally! Research shows that two structural proteins, collagen (responsible for keeping skin firm and tight) and elastin (responsible for skin’s flexibility) starts decreasing as soon as you touch 25 years. A skincare routine set  early and followed religiously, when  your skin is healthy and quite youthful naturally, will help you combat the early signs of ageing and will set a foundation for glowing and nourished skin in your 30s, 40s and 50s. While you need not to get fancy about products addressing specific issues (until its acne) at this stage, some basic affordable products along with few natural household ingredients are everything that you need for an effective routine. Know your skin Before you step on to nail a beauty regime, it is must to know your skin type and the products that will work best on it.
